The word canvas originally comes from cannabis - the scientific name for
the hemp plant. It is the fiber of the hemp plant that has traditionally
been used to weave a heavy and durable cloth for all kinds of rigorous use.
Today, there are lots of choices available in fabrics. We use
natural material and synthetic - depending on the key features needed for your
project. Many people use the term 'canvas' now to include those
fabrics. Our research process keeps introducing us to new fabrics, blends,
coatings, and techniques. We offer this experience to our customers.
Yes. A
prototype or a sample of a potential product is always a good idea. It
provides you the opportunity to investigate the product and determine if
changes need to be made before beginning a production run. The cost of a
prototype is typically required before the project begins. In some cases
a portion of the prototype fee is credited to the cost of a production run.
Normally, we do not charge fees for an initial consultation, so
please feel free to contact us.
Once we determine that your project is viable, we will
provide an estimate - or a firm quote before work begins.
A deposit is required for custom work. Depending on the
size of the project, it ranges from 30% to 50% of the estimated total.
